During tonight’s episode of NXT we saw a certain Xion Quinn debut. A name that has practically never been heard of but which actually hides a fairly well-known identity, that of former rugby player Daniel Vidot. A former rugby player born in Australia but who boasts 10 appearances and 24 points with the Samoan national team. Before turning 30, he retired from rugby to pursue the dream of a career in WWE.
Surprise victory
During tonight’s episode of NXT Xyon Quinn surprisingly defeated Chinese wrestler Boa, infuriating Tian Sha. It wasn’t the Australian wrestler’s first time on WWE shows. The former rugby player had already seen his real name face Sheamus in SmackDown in April 2020. He had obviously been squash for less than a minute. Before the pandemic, however, Vidot was used with a lot of consistency in NXT live shows, in which it has dozens and dozens of matches to its credit.
Daniel Vidot, who we must get used to calling Xyon Quinn by now, was part of the October 2018 Performance Center class, which also included various prominent names such as Riddle, Omos, Mia Yim, Damian Priest, Humberto Carrillo and Chelsea Green .
