The first five have come out, long awaited by millions of fans all over Italy, episodes of “The Ferragnez”, a TV series available in streaming on the Amazon Prime Video platform. The TV series that tells the life of Fedez, his wife Chiara Ferragni, his son Leone Lucia Ferragni and all the people who revolve around this trio, or the “Ferragnez family”. Nothing that hasn’t already been seen on social media, mind you. But “The Ferragnez” represents a way to let fans enter, if possible, further into the daily life of these two celebrities. Next to the five reasons to watch the series, here are others five so it is better to save some time and not see it.
- Show private moments in a forced way
- Arouses “I would like but I can’t”
- It is evidently recited to “camera favor”
- We just talk
- The rambling involvement of relatives
Certain moments in everyone’s life should remain within the home, also because they are of little interest to other people. Unless you are talking about vojeurismo.Ecco, this is exactly what this series feeds: the desire to “spy through the keyhole” the lives of others. The problem, however, is that there is very little spontaneous. The protagonists are often particularly forced in their expressions.
Raise your hand if you have the economic possibility to rent a huge villa with skating rink and carousel to spend a weekend on Lake Como with the whole family. The Ferragnez can. And they are committed to making us understand it every minute of the series. It’s true: they are objectively different from the crowd. But why should we spend over three hours of our time making us remember it?
If the goal was a sort of “Casa Vianello”, we are not really there. It doesn’t even come close to a few kilometers. And already “Casa Vianello” was not a top quality television product. It’s all a winking and addressing the viewer. Basically a five-episode long Instagram story.
There is no daily routine of any kind. There is a rehearsal of a yoga class, a capoeira class, but nothing that is routine. Not a fixed appointment, not a weekly deadline. Nothing. The life of this family is different every day. Which it seems unreal even for the Ferragnez. It is a continuous storytelling, but there are really few concrete things that are done.
We understand: the Ferragni sisters must promote their image. Of course, if they were spontaneous they might even be able to do it. In reality, parents and relatives are involved in this series in a totally inappropriate way. It looks like a cross between Geordie Shore (without the disgusting aspects, mind you) and the exteriors of Men and Women. Small spoiler: “Do you think Chiara will be able to do what Faith wants for the whole day?”. Here, typical recap from Men and Women.
