The Italian green zones on the EU map rise to three: Sardinia and Liguria join Molise, already green since 3 June. All the rest of Italy is yellow. This is what emerges from the new updated map on the incidence of Covid and the rate of infections in the Old Continent, drawn up by the ECDC, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
The situation continues to improve across the EU, with northern Germany, Romania, Poland and Finland all green. Central and southern Spain and all of Holland remain in the red. No area in Europe is classified as having a high incidence (dark red).
On the basis of the European map, individual Member States can decide whether to introduce certain restrictions, such as quarantine or buffer, to travelers from the areas most at risk.
Member States have agreed that there are no restrictions for travelers from green areas. For all others, quarantine or swab may be required to be done before or after arrival. In particular to all those arriving from dark red areas, due to the particular risk, all EU countries should ask to swab before departure and to undergo self-isolation on arrival.
