The LaRopaNoTieneGenero movement (clothes have no gender) is depopulating on social media in recent days following the increasingly growing adhesions by professors, who have decided to wear a skirt during their classroom lessons. This is an anti-discrimination initiative: no pants for a while, in order to send a strong message and try to fight gender stereotypes.
An initiative that, however, made the nose turn up Matteo Salvini, who shared his thoughts on social media: “Fight against discrimination? No, in common sense I would say. But tell me … What do you think? “. Many of them agreed with the secretary of the League, but just as many appreciated the gesture of the professors, which is not done for a mere question of visibility but to try to sensitize their students on issues of great importance.
The initiative was born a few months ago after a student named Mike Gomez he had been kicked out of school for showing up in class with a skirt: in response the institute had expelled him and sent him to the psychologist. At the time, some professors had used the “offending” garment to express solidarity with that student: in recent days the movement is back in fashion more than ever, with more and more teachers joining the initiative to promote tolerance and respect of the different.
