Because Europe has lost patience with Kurz’s Austria

The Austrian Chancellor, Sebastian Kurz, yesterday he rejected an agreement between the 27 countries of the European Union to show solidarity with the countries that are in difficulty in the vaccination campaign because they had bet on AstraZeneca by giving up part of the doses of Pfizer-BioNTech. And, paradoxically, Kurz himself had placed himself at the head of that group of countries. Austria, Slovenia and the Czech Republic rejected a compromise proposal by the Portuguese EU presidency to redistribute ten million Pfizer-BioNTech doses, the delivery of which was brought forward from the third to the second quarter.
