This is the story, reported by The Times and other British newspapers, which involved the 18-year-old Lewis Roberts, hospitalized at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, in Staffordshire, county of England.

After being hit by a van, the boy suffered brain injuries. Sister Jade documented the story via Facebook, including with a video contribution. “We were ready to say goodbye, we had signed the forms. He had been pronounced dead, the death had been reported to the medical examiner. At midnight I asked Lewis to breathe, I counted to 3. And Lewis breathed, ”the girl said.

And again: “They told us it could be a machinery error, we went home. They called us: ‘Lewis breathes’. The hospital can’t believe it, it’s a miracle they’ve never seen before ”.

Lewis Roberts’ condition progressively improved and a few days ago, as we read in another post published by his sister, the young man was also able to breathe without ventilatory support, before having to resort to the help of machinery again due to an onset of infection.
