PARIS – “I have good news: the republican right is back”. The neo-Gaullists choose a woman for the Elysée race. Their hope is the face of Valérie Pécresse, who won the investiture of the Les Républicains (Lr) party with over 60% of the votes. The former minister and current governor of Ile-de-France, aged fifty-four, was not the favorite in the vote of the militants.
