(ANSA) – PARIS, 02 DEC – YouTube has decided not to withdraw “immediately” the video in which the French far-right polemicist, Eric Zemmour, announces his candidacy for the Elysée for 2022, with respect to the problems related to Copyright.
Youtube has instead banned the video to minors under 18 due to images considered violent.
The platform, owned by Google, reported, in particular, to France Presse that it “does not have the possibility on the basis of European law to immediately withdraw this video due to copyright infringement”.
A dozen media and production companies, including Le Parisien – a newspaper that also makes films – and the film distributor Gaumont, had filed a complaint for copyright infringement after the publication of Zemmour’s video, asking Youtube to withdraw it. (HANDLE).
