(ANSA) – MOSCOW, 01 DEC – In the course of the dialogue with the US and NATO, Russia will insist on reaching agreements that exclude NATO expansion to the east: the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, said this, taken up by the Interfax agency .
“Our diplomats currently have the priority task of obtaining solid, reliable and long-term security guarantees. We will insist in the course of the dialogue with the United States and its allies on the elaboration of specific agreements that exclude any kind of further expansion to the east by of NATO and the deployment of weapons that threaten us in the immediate vicinity of Russian territory “, said Putin, quoted by Interfax. According to Interfax, Putin called for “substantial negotiations on this issue”.
