ROMA – Incredible images come from Australia, showing the ‘toughest’ white shark in the world covered in scars and bites. In the video shot near the island of Neptune by the underwater photographer Dean Speechman in an expedition dated January 2021, the great white shark looks incredibly battered. All the team members who filmed this surprising scene admitted that they had never seen a shark so badly injured before and that they initially thought it might have been injured by the propellers of a boat or in a trap. Dean told The Sun tabloid: “No one has ever seen a shark in a condition like this before. You can only speculate what happened there and to be honest no one knows or will ever really know what causes that kind of damage to a shark.“.
