Iran, governor slapped

The new governor of the Iranian province of Eastern Azerbaijan, former Iranian Revolutionary Guard general Abedin Jorram was slapped in the face on Saturday during his inauguration. At the moment the reason for the man’s gesture is not known but, according to the British newspaper ‘The Guardian’, it could be linked to a personal story.

According to some international media, including Sky News and CBS, the attacker allegedly acted after his wife’s vaccination. To the woman, the covid vaccine would have been given by a nurse and not by a nurse: this would have infuriated her husband.
