Bologna, 21 October 2021 – In the map on the Covid pandemic in Europe, l‘Emilia Romagna is back in green (i.e. the level of lower risk).
Certifies it l’Ecdc – European Center for Disease Control and Prevention – in the weekly report that comes out every Thursday. Together with our region they are also ‘greening up’ Lazio, Valle d’Aosta and Basilicata, which were previously in yellow, a color that indicates a moderate level of risk.

The situation in Italy

They thus rise to altitude 12, plus the autonomous province of Trento, the Italian regions in green, while Friuli Venezia Giulia, which last week was in green, now turns yellow, and reaches the autonomous province of Bolzano, Veneto, Tuscany, Marche, Campania, Calabria and Sicily.
Overall however, Italy appears greener than yellow (respectively 12 regions and one province, against 7 regions and one province) in the Ecdc classification, which is based on notifications of positive cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, combined with the percentage of positive tests on the total number of tests carried out, without taking into account the rate vaccination.

The situation in Europe

At a European level, yellow is widespread and for example is present to a greater extent than green in France. The red advances in Germany and Austria, but it is also the color ofwhole Finland, part of Norway, Ireland (and not only). And we also see areas in dark red, the maximum risk range, such as Slovenia, the whole of Romania, some areas of Greece, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
