According to the anticoronavirus operations center, also taken up by Tass, in Russia on the last day 28,190 new cases of Covid-19 were ascertained and in the country from the beginning of the epidemic 7,832,964 cases of Covid were detected. In the past 24 hours, 4,699 new cases have been recorded in Moscow, 2,158 in St. Petersburg and 1,804 in the Moscow region.

Yesterday the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, reprimanded by TASS, said that the current vaccination rate against Covid in Russia “is low, inadmissible low”. “So we have such high mortality,” he added. Peskov then stressed that “the only thing that saves lives is the vaccine”.
