AGI – One two-year-old boy died in Texas after shooting himself with a gun found in a relative’s backpack. The incident is the latest in a series of similar tragic cases. The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to a hospital where he later died. The investigators believe it was an accident.
After the shooting, the relative who owned the gun fled with the gun, but then returned and was arrested. The 21-year-old suspect was charged with tampering with evidence. According to Everytown For Gun Safety, a gun control organization, 765 people were killed and over 1,500 were injured from 2015 to 2020 in “involuntary shootings” of children. And as many as 111 people were killed this year alone.
