India has registered over 100,000 cases of coronavirus for the first time within 24 hours of the start of the pandemic: the new figure brings the overall toll of infections to over 12.5 million, including over 165,000 deaths. Meanwhile, in the State of Maharashtra – the most affected in the country with almost 60 thousand new infections in the last 24 hours – a new squeeze begins today which includes, among other things, the advance of one hour of the curfew (from 20:00 to 19: 00), a lockdown on weekends and the closure of private offices as well. In the last 24 hours, the new coronavirus cases registered in India were 103,558, the Ministry of Health announced: the total toll of infections is currently at 12,589,067 – the third highest in the world – including 165,101 deaths. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 11,682,136 people have healed in the country, there are 741,830 active cases and so far 79,105,163 doses of vaccines have been distributed. CNN reports it.
