The virtual operator PosteMobile has made official that from today, 24 June 2021, all the new SIMs that are activated already use the Vodafone network, thus definitively abandoning the WINDTRE network for new activations.
Confirmed therefore the date of the start of the use of the Vodafone network for the new SIM PosteMobile Full MVNO announced in preview by MondoMobileWeb.
So after starting for the already customers, from 16 June 2021, the gradual migration from the current mobile support network of PosteMobile (WINDTRE) to the new one of Vodafone, even all new SIM PosteMobile activated from 24 June 2021 onwards yes connect directly to the Vodafone mobile network, without going through that WINDTRE.

The virtual operator of PostePay (Poste Italiane) has the novelty made official updating today, 24 June 2021, some official documents present on its site, such as the General Terms and Conditions.
In fact, the new contractual conditions for the SIMs activated starting from June 24, 2021.
In this way, there are now 3 different documents of general contract conditions, namely those for the Full MVNO SIMs activated from today on the Vodafone network, those for the Full MVNO SIMs activated from 14 July 2014 to 23 June 2021 which used the network of the former brand Wind and then WINDTRE (which will in any case be progressively migrated to the Vodafone network) and finally those for the ESP SIMs activated until 14 July 2014 which still use the Vodafone network.

The update of the network change page
In addition to having entered the new General Contract Conditions, PosteMobile also has updated the information page dedicated to the change of mobile support network, the same used to communicate the start of migration for existing PosteMobile customers from 15 June 2021.
Compared to before, it is specified that the gradual migration launched from 16 June 2021 for existing customers concerns all PosteMobile SIM cards activated until yesterday, 23 June 2021, while if you activate a SIM starting from today, 24 June 2021, you are already using the new Vodafone support network, without having to wait for the network change.
As indicated on this page, the use of the Vodafone network for new activations starting from today 24 June 2021 is not only valid for the SIM cards dedicated to the mobile phone service, but also for the SIM cards with data connection included with the modems or keys of the fixed telephony offers of the PosteMobile Casa and PosteCasa Ultraveloce range.
Instead, please note that the SIM cards included in the home phone of the PosteMobile Casa offers already used the Vodafone network for the fixed-line voice service.
PosteMobile tariff transparency documents updated without 3G
Finally, the virtual operator stands updating the tariff transparency documents of its current offers, in particular removing the reference to 3G in the field of network technologies used.
In fact, because of the discontinuation of 3G carried out in recent months by Vodafone, all PosteMobile customers who activate a SIM from today or have already migrated to the Vodafone network they no longer have access to this network technology.
Those who activated an offer before June 24, 2021 and the SIM has not yet been migrated to the Vodafone network, will be able to temporarily use the 3G WINDTRE network.
It should also be remembered that from today PosteMobile, after having begun to migrate only a few already customers to the Vodafone network, also starts the progressive massive migration of all the rest of the already Full MVNO customers, which according to verified sources should be concluded by September 2021, except for delays or changes.
For existing customers this step it does not involve changing the SIM as PosteMobile is a virtual operator of type Full MVNO. No change, however, for PosteMobile ESP customers, who had always remained under the Vodafone network.
