Here is the Dutch design project Niels Van Roij, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2021
Remember the Dutch design studio that made a model-homage to the Ferrari 250 GT Drogo calling it Breadvan? Alla Niels Van Roij they fell back with a car from the Cavallino di Maranello. This time, however, things get more serious. The studio’s latest work is in fact a tributo alla Daytona Shooting Brake.
THE REALIZATION PROJECT
The car body it was built on the basis of an existing model, whose name has not been revealed (although it is speculated that it may be one 599 GTB Fiorano): the works were carried out to have a clone of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Shooting Brake del 1972. To reconstruct the typical “shark” nose of the model, Niels Van Roij raised the edge of the front hood, the bumper and the fenders by 10 cm. But the roof line and the pillar have also been modified, in order to have larger windows. To contain the weight, the machine is entirely designed in aluminum.
GTO Squalo, the Ferrari 250 SWB is reborn with a 10,000 rpm V12
The project, What will be completed by the end of the year, predicts Niels Van Roij’s Ferrari Daytona Shooting Brake to be one one-off. We’ll see what turns out.
