The new project Ideas 21327 it’s here: LEGO Typewriter! The announcement comes on the LEGO Ideas blog. It is a project of Steve Guinness (Chester, UK) proposed on the famous platform think a little in 2018.
The model is inspired by the typewriter used by founder of the LEGO Group, Be Kirk Kristiansen. In short, a symbolic model that, for the occasion, brings with it a letter written by Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, current President of the LEGO Group, in 43 different languages.
The style is that of 1950s typewriters in the characteristic mint green color. The model is filled with moving parts, including the carriage that moves left to right as you type on all working keys, and the center hammer lifts up when the buttons are pressed. In the roller, always made up of bricks, it is possible to insert a real sheet. Each key on the machine is printed: there are therefore no stickers to apply, a significant added value if you allow us a comment.
As for the dimensions, the LEGO Typewriter is 11 cm high, 27 cm wide and 26 cm deep. The pieces that compose it are 2.079. It is, as you may have guessed, another set aimed at a more adult clientele.
