Xiaomi Mi 9 SE in the ‘Global’ version is about to get the MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11

Xiaomi did not get too distracted by the celebrations for reaching the thousand global Mi Stores, and has also recently released a update for its Mi 9 SE in global version. This smartphone, launched allbeginning of 2019 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC on board, two years after its arrival on the market it is getting an update that brings with it theMIUI interface in its version 12.5.

Xiaomi had started distributing the update to MIUI 12.5 for the Chinese variant of the Mi 9 SE at the end of March 2021, which also carried Android 11. The same update is now being released for the global variant of this smartphone, which however had already received Android 11 along with MIUI 12. Currently, theMIUI 12.5 update based on Android 11 for the Mi 9 SE it is therefore available for the ‘Global’ variant with number of build V12.5.1.0.RFBMIXM.

The build in question is considered stable, however the timing for the arrival of the OTA update on all devices is not yet known, and it may take some time for it to reach all Mi 9 SEs. Even the remaining two international variants of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, or ‘EEA‘ e ‘Russia‘should get the update to MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 in next days.
