LIGNANO. On the evening of Friday 4 June, around 9 pm, on the recommendation of some passers-by and tourists, the Harbor Master’s Office, under the leadership of Commander Raimondo Porcelli, intervened in the Riviera area, near the mouth, where a military device dating back to to the Second World War.

The weight is about 15 kilograms and the length about 60 centimeters. The area was fenced off and made safe pending removal and subsequent reclamation by the Army.

Local police officers also intervened on the spot. The mayor of Lignano, Luca Fanotto, was also immediately informed.
