Now in its 13th edition, F1 2021 is the new chapter of the video game saga released by Codemaster, the first after the acquisition of the House by Electronic Arts, which took place in the first months of this year. The new chapter brings with it some news compared to the 2020 edition, in particular as regards the career modes, updated with new features, and for the pre-launch edition. In addition, the game will also make its debut on the next generation platforms.
Braking point e Carriera Multiplayer
The most awaited novelty is the mode called Braking Point, in which the player will be engaged in a career mode that will see him starting from F2, up to the heights of F1. The mode will be a story that combines managerial elements with traditional driver elements, fully immersing him in the experience of the track and that of the paddock. The second big news concerns the possibility of undertaking the Career mode in multiplayer mode, a possibility much requested by regular players. This update will allow you to play with a friend, either as a teammate or as an opponent. Another novelty is the possibility of racing the current season of the Formula 1 2021 championship, which will be synchronized with the platform after each race weekend.
The 2021 edition of the video game will be available in a special version named Deluxe Edition which, in addition to being available three days before the official release scheduled for July 16, will contain features exclusives such as the possibility of signing, for the career mode, seven iconic drivers of the past: Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg, Felipe Massa, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Jenson Button, David Coulthard, each with a rating that takes into account the driving characteristics and the career of pilots. In addition, the purchase of the special package will also provide 18,000 PitCoins and a series of customizations of the exclusive cars. Alternatively, the Standard Edition will also be available.
Three new circuits
Lee Mather, the Franchise Game Director, has also announced updates that will arrive “in progress” for the new chapter of the game, in particular with the introduction of three new circuits such as Portimao and Imola, which have already been introduced. last year in the F1 calendar following the pandemic emergency, and Jeddah, recently announced as the new circuit for the 2021 season. As already anticipated, the game will be officially released on Friday 16 July but pre-sales are already open, even for the consoles of new generation such as PS5 and Xbox Series X, with the possibility for users with previous consoles to be able to upgrade to the latter for free.
