What is Sony’s strategy regarding the arrival of the exclusive of PS5 e PS4 its PC? This was explained in an interview by Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios.
Hulst talked about how the conversion of Horizon Zero Dawn was a success, and how Days Gone has just finished the same path, waiting for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, indicated by Sony in an internal presentation.
“We are still in the early days of planning on PC,” explained the head of PlayStation Studios, “and Horizon Zero Dawn has been a great success. I think that demonstrates the desire that owners of other platforms have towards content related to the ecosystem PlayStation, their desire to try this extraordinary catalog of games.”
“However, I want to stress that PlayStation will remain the best place to play PlayStation Studios games from day one. We have great regard for PC users and will continue to think about the right times to launch each title.”
“Bend Studio has just released the PC version of Days Gone, on May 18th, so we are talking about a distance of about two years compared to the original release of the game on PlayStation 4.”
“Of course I hope that many new fans will enjoy the game, in the end that is our goal: to reach new players who have not yet been able to experience the great stories, characters and worlds we have created.”
“Releasing our titles on PC will never overshadow the determination we have to develop an amazing line-up of great console games.”
