PlayStation Studios games coming to PC: talk about Hermen Hulst

Over the past year we have seen Sony exclusives debut in the huge ecosystem of the world PC. Horizon Zero Dawn it was the first first party PS4 to land on Steam and in the past few weeks too Days Gone followed in his footsteps. What does this mean for Sony’s gaming future?

The head of PlayStation Studios, Hermen Hulst, during an interview available on PlayStation Blog, where it highlights the interest in PC Gaming but also how PlayStation 5 and PS4 remain the main focus of Sony’s gaming efforts: “We’re still in the early stages of our PC planning, and Horizon Zero Dawn has been hugely successful. I believe this shows how big the appetite of gamers outside the PlayStation ecosystem is to experience the fantastic portfolio of games that PlayStation fans have enjoyed for years.“, says Hulst, underlining however that PS5 and PS4”will remain the best place to play our PlayStation Studios titles at launch“. The boss of PlayStation Studios, however, adds that”we value PC gamers, and will continue to look for the right moment to launch each game. Bend Studio just released the PC version of Days Gone last May 18th, so about two years after its release on PS4“.

Hulst hopes that in this way and with the right timing more and more players will be able to experience the stories, characters and worlds that Sony has created. Consoles are however the top priority and PlayStation Studios aim to build ever stronger line-ups in the future. We recall in this regard that God of War 2 and Gran Turismo 7 will be released on both PS5 and PS4, and that Sony Bend is working on a new open world IP disconnected from Days Gone. The near future therefore appears already well defined pending further surprises.
