Colorado-based startup Zaiser Motors has designed “Electrocycle”, a new electric motorcycle that has some very interesting features: 480 kilometers of range, replaceable battery, all-wheel drive, high level of safety and maximum customization.
Zaiser addressed the problem “autonomy anxiety”By installing a 17.3 kWh quick-charge removable battery pack on the bike. In addition, the braking system works regeneratively. To push the bike, however, there are two motors positioned in the means of the wheels, two motors that thus transform the Zaiser into a four-wheel drive motorcycle. The technical characteristics of the engines were not disclosed. The manufacturer has only stated that the bike will be able to cover 0-100 km / h in 3.6 ”and that its top speed will be 190 km / h. For maximum safety on board there will be adjustable traction control, an automatic stabilization system of the motorcycle able to keep the vehicle in an upright position, proximity sensors to avoid accidents, complete connectivity and the emergency call system in case of breakdowns or accidents.
Early drawings show us an extremely low and elongated bike, with the rear wheel largely hidden under a bulky fender. On it is a rear light divided into three small individual headlights. A classic round headlight, on the other hand, sits in the center of the conventional fork legs. Two front discs and a single rear disc stop the bike.
So far, however, the Zaiser Electrocycle is still fully in the planning stage. The startup is currently trying to raise money for the motorcycle through crowdfunding. The goal is $ 500,000, but so far the project hasn’t exceeded $ 10,000. Despite the low funding, Zaiser Motors plans to present the Electrocycle by the end of 2021 and then commercialize it in 2022.
