The trailer leaves no room for doubt, the little Toad will have to face BioShock’s Big Daddy in what appears to be a real crossover with the 2K Games saga, ready to return with BioShock 4, announced in 2019 and then disappeared from the radar. Actually all very nice, if it were not clearly an April fish, as the title of the (fake) game already suggests.
Let’s hope the GameXplain fake leak can turn the spotlight back on Captain Toad, after the debut on Wii U the game has been converted on Switch and 3DS with new levels and extra content, enjoying good success with audiences and critics. However, more than three years have passed since the launch of Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and Nintendo has never talked about a sequel, loudly requested by fans.
