The launch Call of Duty: Vanguard is almost upon us and Actvision has unveiled the exact dimensions of the various versions of the game on day one, as well as date and times for the start of the preload of the digital versions.
The preload of the PS5 and PS4 versions will be available at the stroke of midnight (00:00 on Friday 29 October), while that for Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One starting at 06:00 on Friday 29 October.
Just a few days ago Activision had unveiled on Twitter that the size of Call of Duty: Vanguard on next-gen consoles would be 30-50% smaller than previous chapters, thanks to a new texture streaming technology implemented in the new Sledgehammer shooter Games. As we can see from the list below, Call of Duty: Vanguard actually weighs much less than Cold War Black Ops, which at launch on PS5 reached 133 GB.
Here are the Call of Duty: Vanguard download size and space required for installation:
- PS5: 64.13 GB for download, 89.84 GB required for installation
- PS4: 54.65 GB for download, 93.12 GB required for installation
- Xbox Series X|S: 61 GB for download, 61 GB required for installation
- Xbox One: 56.6 GB for download, 56.6 GB required for installation
The appeal is missing size of the PC version which will be revealed in the coming days, along with the minimum recommended system requirements for competitive and “Ultra 4K”. Also, keep in mind that through updates with new content and various changes, the dimensions shown above may vary over time.
Call of Duty: Vanguard will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC starting from Friday 5th November.
