Nintendo released the first update for Metroid Dread, the adventure for Nintendo Switch. This is theupdate 1.0.1 which is primarily concerned with fixing a bug that prevented some players from progressing. Let’s see the details.
Through the American site of the Nintendo support it is possible to read the patch note completa dell’update 1.0.1 di Metroid Dread:
- Fixed an issue where a map pointer was placed on a specific door (i.e. the destroyed door with a radius obtained at the end of the game), causing the game to crash if the door was destroyed, with the subsequent appearance of the message ‘The software was closed due to an error’.
- Fixed various other issues to improve the overall gameplay experience
It therefore appears that the only major change relating to Metroid Dread both the bug fix. It was a known problem that Nintendo itself had reported, as we reported: the solution, before the 1.0.1 update, was simply not to use the pointer on the map. Many players probably didn’t even run into the problem.
Metroid Dread is also selling well in Italy, as we can see in the Italian ranking: FIFA 22 first, but Metroid Dread undermines Far Cry 6.
