The epidemiological situation of Italy continues to remain under control, even if it is still too early to claim victory. We will have to wait another couple of weeks to really say that the system has withstood the full-scale resumption of work and school activities. So far things have perhaps gone beyond expectations: the vaccination campaign is offering a considerable tranquility compared to last year, when in the same period we began to be overwhelmed by a new wave.
A sign that trusting science was the right choice: the vaccine it is really the only weapon against the virus, even if not everyone has understood it, preferring to take the risk of Covid. The latter is still lethal and infamous, as even today they have been reported 65 deaths: a number not really irrelevant, but except in rare cases it concerns only the unvaccinated. The bulletin of Tuesday 28 September released by the Ministry of Health gives an account of 2,985 infected, 5,105 healed and 65 dead on 338,425 swabs analyzed, with the positivity rate being 0.9 percent (-0.5). The balance of hospitalized in Covid wards is -69, while that of hospitalized in intensive care is -29.
Meanwhile the vaccination campaign has come to 84,208,480 doses administered in total. This is another reason why we are discussing extending concessions to certain sectors. Opinions on sporting and cultural events in the white areas have come from the CTS: for the former, the capacity is indicated of 75 per cent for outdoor facilities (stadiums) and 50 per cent for those indoors, with access to people with Green pass and mask. For cinemas, theaters and concert halls the recommended capacity is 100 percent outdoors and 80 percent indoors.
