Challenging iPad is by no means simple. The Apple tablet boasts a very solid customer base that would hardly turn to other companies, and above all it has been traveling on the crest of the wave for many years. But if there is a company that can put a spoke in the wheel for Apple, well that maybe is Xiaomi.
In Beijing they have a long tradition of products with a very high quality / price ratio. Xiaomi’s tech objects are most often characterized by a series of technical characteristics of a very high level for the price: this is how Xiaomi has made its way among the “big” of technology, and this is how the company has become built a customer base that anyone can envy. So the Xiaomi formula has always been unchanged, maximize the value for money, a task also entrusted to the very recent Xiaomi Pad 5, the tablet that looks like iPad Pro but costs half as much. A product that fully embodies the company philosophy, in other words.
Xiaomi Pad 5: technical characteristics
The Xiaomi Pad 5 data sheet it is that of a product clearly devoted to multimedia. This can be understood for example from the display, a 16:10 panel from 11 inches with a very high resolution (WQHD +, 1,600 x 2,560 pixels) and an equally large refresh rate (120 Hz); there is also support for DCI-P3 which guarantees great chromatic precision.
The Chinese tablet bases its operation on the chip Snapdragon 860 by Qualcomm, an octa core built at 7 nanometers with a maximum operating frequency of 2.96 GHz, flanked by an Adreno 640 GPU and 6 GB of RAM. And if the latter is “fixed” (in any case it is a more than sufficient quantity), the user can choose the quantity of space of storage more in line with your needs: Xiaomi Pad 5 offers 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 type.
Two le cameras, a front for video calls and selfies from 8 megapixel, with video recording at 1080p and 30 fps, a rear from 13 megapixel, with video recording at maximum in 4K at 30 fps. Movies, TV series and video games are supported by a set of four speakers systems that ensure the maximization of the experience, along with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.
On the front of the connectivity there are dual band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB-C input for charging and data transfer. There battery is from 8,720 mAh, according to Xiaomi able to ensure a satisfactory autonomy.
The user interface is there MIUI for Pad, an adaptation of the typical user interface that has always characterized the company’s smartphones, also to support the nib Xiaomi Smart Pen (accessory) which boasts a great integration with the tablet: when not used it magnetically attaches to the frame going to recharge.
Xiaomi Pad 5: availability and price
Xiaomi Pad 5 comes in Italy in two colors, Cosmic Gray and Pearl White. At launch, only the 6 + 128 GB memory cut is available at the cost of 399,90 euro. It is already visible on the Xiaomi website but it cannot be purchased yet: a matter of days, perhaps hours.
