To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Formula Italia single-seater, designed by Carlo Abarth, the brand of the same name has relaunched the F595 with the 165 horsepower 1.4 T-jet Euro 6D Final engine from which the one mounted on the Formula 4 single-seaters derives. The new special series was dedicated to the youngest fans of the Scorpion; in the “F” of the name there is the tribute to Formula 4 of which Abarth is the exclusive supplier of the engines as well as title sponsor.
One of the main features of the 1.4 T-jet is certainly the increased Garrett turbocharger with a geometric compression ratio of 9: 1, which optimizes the temperature in the combustion chamber at the same pressure and allows for the maximum torque of 230 Nm. available at 2,250 rpm; while the power is delivered in the upper part of the rev counter. This brings benefits in terms of top speed – 218 kilometers per hour – and improves recovery: in fifth gear the new Abarth F595 goes from 80 to 120 kilometers per hour in 7.8 seconds. The engine is combined with the manual gearbox but, on request, it can be coupled to the five-speed automatic gearbox with paddle on the steering wheel. Hence 0-100 acceleration in 7.3 seconds with the manual gearbox and 7.4 seconds with the sequential automatic gearbox.
The Abarth F595 offers the iconic Record Monza exhaust which evolves into a new configuration with four silencers – two on each side – vertically stacked. New Blue Rally details have also been added, such as the mirror caps and front and rear DAM. The sporty look is guaranteed by the matt black 17 ″ Sport alloy wheels. In addition there is an identification badge “F595” on the rear. Fog lights are standard.
Inside, the leather steering wheel and Abarth sports seats remain essential, while on request you can have the Sabelts in pure racing style. Details in black have been added such as the new infotainment frame and the new dashboard in matte black. The new rally blue details will be available in combination with the following colors: Race White, Campovolo Gray, Pista Gray, Scorpio Black, Record Gray and Asphalt Gray.
