DOOM Eternal gets the new update 6.1 which brings with it several improvements specific for different platforms, in particular PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S and PC, going to adjust and evolve various aspects of the id Software game depending on the platform.
As for all consoles and PCs, the update fixes a couple of bug of the Campaign, in particular with regard to the contacts of the bullets in certain situations and the path taken by Cacodemon during the boss The Holt within the expansion The Ancient God – Part 1.
For the rest, the interventions are more specific: up Xbox Series X|S corrected the representation of controls in the interface, which appeared incorrect in some situations, on PS4 and PS5 instead the bug that prevented reconnecting to private matches after a disconnection is fixed.
His PC the most numerous interventions, fixing a crash that could occur by selecting the challenges tab in the pause menu, a problem with the AMD GPUs that caused graphic artifacts in some environments and the possibility now to activate ray tracing on some laptop GPUs that support but previously did not allow its use.
Finally, several fixes concern the Battlemode on all platforms, namely the adjustment of the representation of the customizations on the weapon skins, the invisibility of some Demon players after the respawn and some adjustments regarding the menu and interface, as you can read in the list at this address.
For the rest, we are waiting for the new Horde mode that seems destined to take the place of the announced Invasion, all this after the big update 6 that involved the free upgrade of PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
