THE SECOND GENERATION – Compact coupes made by generalist manufacturers are an endangered species, but fortunately there are still those who believe in them. Toyota and Subaru are among these and the heirs of Toyota GT 86 and Subaru BRZ are born from the joint efforts of the two Japanese manufacturers. The low weight, equal to 1,270 kg, is the result of the use of light materials such as aluminum, used for the roof and fenders. The suspensions follow the MacPherson scheme at the front and double wishbone at the rear. The 18 ”alloy wheels fitted with 215/40 tires ensure the footprint on the road. It also improves torsional stiffness by approximately 50% over the previous model.

LONG LIVE THE ASPIRATED – To push the Toyota GR 86 there is the same 4-cylinder naturally aspirated 2.4 boxer of the Subaru BRZ, which delivers 235 hp with 250 Nm of torque, capable of pushing it from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.3 seconds (1.1 seconds less than the GT 86 ).
