Change one of the three wild cards for the main draw of the Sardegna Open, ATP 250 which takes place on the clay courts of the Cagliari Tennis Club from 4 to 11 April. With the withdrawal of Salvatore Caruso, n.75 ATP (intestinal infection), in fact, Lorenzo Musetti, # 94 ATP enters directly into the scoreboard where Lorenzo Sonego (# 34 ATP) and Stefano Travaglia (# 70 ATP) are also present. The wild card of the Tuscan Next Gen was then assigned to Federico Gaius, 142 of the ranking. Recall that the other two had gone to Thomas Fabbiano, No. 178 of the ranking, and Giulio Zeppieri, n.321 del ranking.
The draw for the main draw will be held on Saturday at 1pm at Tc Cagliari.
The wild cards for the qualifying tournament were also made known, the challenges of which would start right at Easter: they were assigned to Jacopo Berrettini, n.493 of the ranking (younger brother of the top player Matteo with whom he is competing in the doubles), ea Francesco Forti, n.442 del ranking.
Matteo Berrettini resumes playing after his injury at the Australian Open. He will play doubles at the Sardegna Open in Cagliari with his brother Jacopo. “My recovery is progressing well and together with my team we are doing the work to get back to the highest levels, with caution.”
