ANCONA – Collemarino in mourning for the sudden death of Silvano Accoroni 66 years old. The man was struck down by a sudden illness late Wednesday evening. The news of Silvano Accoroni’s death went around the neighborhood, throwing despair those who had the good fortune to know him and appreciate his great human skills and his great sporting passion. Since yesterday morning in the streets of Collemarini there was talk of nothing but the god Silvanus.

Always residing in Collemarino, Accoroni was a real pioneer of volleyball in the neighborhood just think of the many games played with Vigor Volleyball then Bumor and with Lions Baby. It was the seventies and in that period, thanks to volleyball, friendships were born that have continued for years. Born on March 13, 1955, Silvano Accoroni had studied at Itis in Torrette and then went to work at the Api refinery in Falconara, where he retired in July of last year.
Loved and well liked by everyone, Silvano was always ready to lend a hand in case of need. A generous man, a man with a heart of gold who could often and willingly meet in the square in Collemarino where he certainly did not lack friends and acquaintances. Many saw him for the last time on Wednesday morning when he went to the indoor market in Piazza Galilei to shop. With the death of Silvano, a piece of the neighborhood’s history goes away, but also a frank and sincere person. In these hours there are dozens of condolence messages published on the Facebook page “Noi de Collemarino” just to remember this pioneer of volleyball. Messages of condolence but also of encouragement to move forward addressed to his wife Stefania and daughter Giulia to whom Silvano dedicated every thought and every care. The funeral of Silvano Accoroni for the moment has not yet been fixed also due to the upcoming Easter holidays.
