L’AQUILA – The school complex of Paganica will be delocalized, starting with middle school, and therugby sports facility of the hamlet will be expanded. This was decided yesterday by the City Council, approving a resolution containing the masterplan for these structures.
Illustrating the provision to the directors – the session was held via video conference – the councilor for Planning, Daniele Ferella, explained that the new schools will be built in place of the multipurpose center “Building designed in the second half of the 90s and never completed – the commissioner specified -. We will start from the middle school, already financed by CIPE with funds for 4 and a half million euros, and then we will design the nursery and primary school on the same site. In this way, a real area reserved for schools will be created, equipped with parking spaces and equipped with all safety standards. In this sense, we have also followed up on a request from the population ”.
“The second phase of this program – he continued Ferella – provides for a redevelopment operation of the entire center of the hamlet, with an urban intervention that will lead to the construction of a new square and spaces available to citizens. The City Council, in the recent past, has already decided to assign the current premises of the middle school to the Carabinieri, for the preparation of the new station “.
As for sports facilities “In agreement with the Italian rugby federation and with the Paganica rugby club, the field will be expanded with enhancements suggested by Fir itself and by the coaches of the pallaovale association” noted the commissioner Ferella.
Overall, the masterplan of the school and sports centers of Paganica will affect an area of 50 thousand square meters.
The resolution was unanimously approved and the commissioner Ferella thanked the municipal councilors for having recognized the strategic importance of the provision.
The Council also took note of the resolution of the municipal council, with which the urgent works were approved, for an amount of 352 thousand euros, to restore the safety conditions of the car park in front of it “Italo Acconcia” stadium, intended for a Covid stop of public transport. The provision was illustrated by the councilor for public works, Vito Colonna.
