It is a comic book published by BeccoGiallo. Simone Giannelli will be dressed as a superhero in this volume and will have to juggle with bewildered characters, fantastic adventures and magical powers. The manual summarizes all the lessons that a very young volleyball player should know when approaching this sport. He does it in a simple and fun way, the book is above all a comic that tells the story of the Teen Myths, bizarre characters born from the mind of the screenwriter Emanuele Apostolidis and drawn by the stylus of the illustrator Salvatore Callerami.
The appointment is therefore in two weeks in the bookstore, for an important stage for the volleyball player who will then want to be the absolute protagonist in the summer during the Tokyo Olympics.
SIMONE GIANNELLI PRESENTS HIS FIRST BOOK
Milan, April 7, 2021 – My first volleyball manual will be released on April 22, a comic book published by BeccoGiallo featuring the enfant prodige of Italian volleyball Simone Giannelli. The setter of the national team and of Trentino Volley will guide readers to discover a sport in continuous rise, telling the rules, the curiosities and the champions that have made history, but above all dwelling on the values that should distinguish every sportsman, professional or amateur. : team spirit, the importance of knowing how to accept defeats and the ability to manage one’s emotions. Of course, there will be fun: dressed as a superhero, Giannelli will have to juggle amazed characters, fantastic adventures and magical powers: will he be able to take home the victory again this time?
“As a child I used to swim, ski, play tennis and also football, because obviously everyone played football… Volleyball? No, my sister played with it ”. The sporting history of Simone Giannelli begins like this, and who would have thought it: the greatest talent of our national team, setter and captain of Trentino Volley, when he was a kid he played completely different. When then, driven by curiosity and the talents given to him by mother nature (exactly 2 meters high), he decided to approach volleyball, first of all he would have needed a book like the one on which he has now signed: My first volleyball handbook, to be released on 22 April by BeccoGiallo, summarizes all the lessons that a very young volleyball player should know when approaching this sport. Nothing too serious, mind you: the book is first and foremost a comic that tells the story of the Teen Myths, bizarre characters born from the mind of the screenwriter Emanuele Apostolidis and drawn by the stylus of the illustrator Salvatore Callerami.
The reference world is that of ancient Greece and Atlantis, a legendary island on which – we now discover – volleyball pulled a lot. Simone’s mission will be to guide his new friends, between superpowers and incredible adventures, to discover the rules but above all the ethical values that distinguish volleyball and, more generally, any sport. Reminding all readers of the most important truth: “In real life superheroes do not exist – explains Simone Giannelli – and we are all fallible. In some moments in particular we happen to be weak and fragile, but with the head, the willpower and the courage it is possible to move forward and aim for one’s dreams ”.
To further embellish the book are the cards that Giannelli wanted to dedicate to the training of young volleyball players, providing them with brief but very useful tips to better face their days on and off the pitch. The main focuses are dedicated to rules, game strategies and proper nutrition, a topic that the Trentino Volley setter, with a degree in Nutrition Sciences, is particularly close to the heart. The book closes with a series of curiosities about the world of volleyball and a tribute to the greatest volleyball players of the past and present, including the Italians Lorenzo Bernardi, Maurizia Cacciatori, Andrea Gardini, Andrea Giani, Eleonora Lo Bianco, Francesca Piccinini and Andrea Zorzi.
