ASSISI – “Francis of Assisi and the economy of fraternity” is the title of the most recent book by Bishop Domenico Sorrentino which will be presented today, at 11 am, in the Nassirya room of the Senate of the Republic in Rome. Refounding the economy, putting man at the center, creating the social, economic and even regulatory conditions so that productive processes are activated from below, generated thanks to the “capital of fraternity” are the themes at the center of the volume, published by Edizioni Francescane Italiane . It will be presented by Professor Luigino Bruni, full professor of political economy at LUMSA who edited the preface of the book and by the journalist Safiria Leccese who, in her recent publication (The richness of the good) has dealt with ethical, sustainable and supportive entrepreneurial stories. “Francis of Assisi and the economy of fraternity” goes deeper into the merits of the question: a global socio-economic renewal is urgently needed, which has become even more necessary after the pandemic.
