Milano Pride returns to the presence of the motto “let’s start from the rights” of the Zan bill, but in compliance with the limits on the distance and the obligation to wear a mask. From 18 to 27 June Milan will therefore return to be dyed with the colors of the rainbow. With two boxes at the Arco della Pace and in Piazza Francesca Romana and two other thematic squares (Piazza Lavater and Largo Bellintani).

The appointments

Milan Pride 2021 includes the Pride Week, with days full of events, talks and performances scheduled from 18 to 27 June, the Pride Squares, four thematic squares that with a festival of initiatives that animate the city on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 June and the closing event on Saturday 26.

Le Pride Squares

Thursday 24 and Friday 25 June, the return in presence includes 4 thematic squares with a rich schedule of initiatives from 17 onwards. At the Arco della Pace a square dedicated to rights and politics, in piazza Santa Francesca Romana an area dedicated to theater, books and culture, in piazzale Lavater the Rainbow Garden, with many initiatives dedicated to families and children. In Largo Bellintani there will be the possibility to carry out HIV tests and Covid swabs, fast and free. Many guests and contributions: from political figures such as Lisa Noja to activists, authors and artists such as Luciano Lopopolo, Monica Romano, the collective Amleta, Shi Yang Shi, Angelo di Genio, Dual Band as well as collaborations with the Elfo Puccini Theater and the MiX Festival.

The end

A street demonstration is scheduled for Saturday 26 June from 4 pm at the Arco della Pace in compliance with the anti-covid regulations in force. The voices of the associations of the Rainbow Coordination, the coordination of the LGBTQIA + associations of Milan and the Metropolitan City will rise from the stage. There will also be representatives of institutions and moments of entertainment, with presenters Annie Mazzola, Dario Spada and Daniele Gattano and the presence of numerous guests including: Alessandro Zan, Simone Alliva, Immanuel Casto + Romina Falconi, Franco Grillini, Vladimir Luxuria, Annagaia Marchioro , Martina Dell’Ombra, Gabriele Piazzoni. Also this year Angelo Cruciani will inspire a flash mob, to reiterate the urgency of the approval of the Zan bill.

The Rainbow Ride

Instead of the traditional parade, the Milanese who will not be able to color the city with the Rainbow Ride will walk the streets of the metropolis and the AbbracciaMI itinerary to say nonunpassoindietro and support the Zan bill. To participate, simply identify a path from your home to Pride for a collective purpose: by bicycle, running, on foot or in a wheelchair.
