The Democratic Party candidate in the center-left primaries for the mayor, Roberto Gualtieri, participating in the show Un giorno da pecora on Rai Radio 1, he held a show playing with the guitar for the challengers.
To the candidate of the center-right, Enrico Michetti, he dedicated “Bella ciao” and then explained: “It amazes me how one can be against playing Bella ciao on April 25, a universal song of freedom known all over the world”. Instead he dedicated Franco Battiato’s “The era of the white boar” to the outgoing M5s mayor Virginia Raggi: “It is an association that came to me – he underlined – thinking about the city”. And finally to Carlo Calenda of Action he dedicated “Il marchese del grillo”: “They are associations”, he concluded. “I have always had a passion for the guitar, I also played at the Saint Louis Jazz club in Palermo” and “in the Paris subway, just one day. Luca Barbarossa says he earned that way? I didn’t, I was scarce”, he finally explained to the conductors.
