Mauro Macchi is the new CEO of Accenture Italy and managing director for Italy, Central Europe and Greece of the group, joining the company’s Global Management Committee. Macchi, who will take office from September 1, had previously held the position of Head of Strategy & Consulting for Accenture in Europe, with a central role in declining the company’s strategy of offering advanced end-to-end services by enhancing the various components of the company. Previously Macchi had held various top positions, in Italy and abroad, in the field of consultancy and Financial Services, dealing with companies in central sectors such as banking, insurance and capital markets.

In the new role Macchi will happen to Fabio Benasso, who will remain president of Accenture Italy and will assume the role of advisor to the CEO from 1 September, Julie Sweet and continuing to serve on the company’s Global Management Committee. Fabio Benasso, reads a note by Accenture, “Is integral to Accenture’s success over the past 35 years. Since 2006 he has led Accenture in Italy and in other countries of the European continent, achieving significant results that have allowed the company to establish itself as a market leader ”.
