Prestigious names and great emotions at the XVIII Edition of Rome Videoclip – Cinema meets music, the most important national event dedicated to the union between the world of music and cinema that took place in the beautiful setting of the Cinecittà Studios, within the Fellini room. Conceived and directed by Francesca Piggianelli, in collaboration with Luce Cinecittà, the recognition of the Cinema and Audiovisual Directorate General of the Ministry of Culture, the patronage of the Lazio Region and SIAE, the support of the Roma Lazio Film Commission, of Cinecittà Panalight, with the support of the Equilibra e Bottega Association Spa and Ceramiche Branca, the event saw numerous protagonists of the Italian music and cinema scene alternate on the stage. The evening, conducted by the actor Danilo Bruges, opened with a touching tribute to the recently deceased maestro Franco Battiato. Numerous prizes awarded. Female Artist of the Year Tosca Donati which also received recognition for the success achieved with the video clip “I loved everything” by director Ferzan Ozpetek. An important recognition was also bestowed on Federico Zampaglione, songwriter and director of the film “Morrison”, as an Italian Multimedia Artist for his ability to range between cinema, music and writing. To the singer-songwriter Folcast the Siae Rome Videoclip Prize in the New Proposals section was awarded for the video clip “Discover” directed by Giacomo Citro. The winner of the Siae Award for the Big section of the Sanremo 2021 Festival was instead Tiziano Russo for the video clip “A million things to tell you” by Ermal Meta. Siae Award and Management a Diodato, who participated with a video greeting, for the video clip “Make noise” directed by Giorgio Testi. They thought about making us smile Lillo and the Vagabonds, awarded for the video clip “Logorroic rap” directed by Marco Pontecorvo with the participation of Carolina Crescentini.
