Daring rescue of a boar that was swimming upstream in the Naviglio, at the gates of Milano, between Gaggiano and Trezzano. He was heading towards the Darsena in Milan, fumbling and risking drowning because he was now exhausted. Passers-by, seeing the animal in difficulty, alerted the authorities and the firefighters, divers and local police intervened on the spot.

All struggling with a very tiring rescue, which lasted more than an hour. Between ropes, nets and diving. The wild boar – a female of about 50 kilograms – was then sedated and taken to a veterinary center. It is not the first time that wild boars have been seen that have ended up in the water, at the mercy of the current: last October two managed to reach the Darsena, to the amazement of the Milanese. One had been asleep and one knocked down.
