Milan. It was around 11.45 pm when help was called at about the street number 75 of Porta Ticinese. During a fight, a 26-year-old young man was hit by a knife or a shard of glass. The situation immediately appeared serious.

Several White Cross ambulances, an intensive care unit and a medical car arrived at the scene after the call to Nue 112, accompanied by the crews of state police cars. The young man was rescued and then transported, in red code, to the emergency room of the polyclinic hospital in Milan. The state police are proceeding to investigate what happened.

Even a long time ago, when Milan was that beautiful, somewhat provincial but quiet city, Porta Ticinese and the columns of San Lorenzo (which would later be the remains of a Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Vesta) were considered an infamous and frequented place, of night, come on cutthroats. With the modernity and transformation of Milan, according to the words of Mayor Sala in 2017, in a city that has a very beautiful center and degraded suburbs, it seems that this has not changed. Porta Ticinese, like Piazza Vetra, less than 2 steps from the Duomo and the Carrobbio, in the center, at night remains a degraded place frequented by cutthroats, as in the times of Ninetta del Verzè.
