In the province of Cremona at the moment, no company is able to carry out vaccinations in its own offices due to insufficient doses. This was stated by the director of the Industrial Association Massimiliano Falanga: “If anything, the workplaces will be useful for the eventual recall in the autumn”.
At the regional level, Lombardy says it is ready, with the President of the Region, Attilio Fontana: “From Monday, the companies of the region will have the opportunity to proceed in this direction. An objective achieved, also at a national level thanks to the tenacity of Lombardy which was the first to take action to reach this goal “.
Monday 7 June, therefore, Unipol will set up the first vaccination hub in Lombardy at its headquarters in Milan. Following this week, three other Lombard companies will start the vaccination phase for their employees: Pirelli, Mediaset and Amazon.
“Lombardy Region – underlines the vice president and councilor for Welfare, Letizia Moratti – was the first in Italy to indicate this possibility in recent months, inviting the government to make it possible. The strong impulse taken by the Lombard vaccination campaign has meanwhile meant that many workers are already vaccinated or about to do so. In any case, the Welfare Directorate-General of the Lombardy Region asked the Ats to make a survey with the trade associations to get an updated picture of the requests and interest still existing on the part of the companies ”.
“This is – explains the councilor for economic development Guido Guidesi – an additional opportunity for Lombard workers that the Lombardy Region, thanks to the availability of trade associations and companies, makes available. A way to further accelerate the vaccination campaign already at full capacity with reservations and administrations of all age groups provided at the special hubs set up in the Region “.
“Thanks to the companies – continues Guidesi – for their availability and collaboration because we are sure that this further opportunity will be replicable in view of any vaccination campaigns following the massive one being completed”.
