Vaccinations for homeless people will start from Monday 7 June in Lombardy. This is what the Welfare Directorate General of the Lombardy Region communicates in a note. “With regard to vaccination aimed at homeless people permanently present in the regional territory, the crisis unit met all the Lombard Ats inviting them to relate with the associations of their territory that manage the facilities (dormitories, daytime facilities, canteens, etc. .) for the organization of the activity ”explains the note from which we learn that the first administrations will start on Monday 7 June in some dormitory locations in Milan.
The team will be organized by Areu in collaboration with the military health service and with other health professionals ensured by the structures themselves. Areu made the first inspections at some facilities to identify the necessary spaces, in particular the inoculation space (outpatient room), the post-vaccination waiting space, as well as the pre-vaccination waiting spaces with the definition of the ordered flows .
The Anci last week launched a census in collaboration with the Municipalities to provide each Ats with the survey of the centers of their territory in order to complete the comparison with the associations to share times and methods for carrying out vaccines, preferably with staff of the association or, in case of impossibility to follow this solution, involving Areu and / or military health.
