Matteo Salvini e Silvio Berlusconi they spoke again on the phone to discuss the project of one center-right federation in government. “Important and positive” was the opinion on this initiative expressed by the leaders of Forza Italia and Lega, who agreed on the need to open up to all the coalition groups that support Mario Draghi. So no annexation, this is a crucial point: all the protagonists who decide to join will have equal dignity.

Will it be enough to overcome the resistance of some internal factions of Forza Italia? “Each one maintains its identity and its values”, said Matteo Salvini, who then added: “But putting together energies, groups, battles and ministers we will all count more. Maybe some politicians think they are losing something – he said – but it is not a question of annexing or merging ”.

Previously Silvio Berlusconi had made it known in a meeting with managers and group leaders of Forza Italia that he is considering “with great attention the proposal for a federation of the center-right made by Matteo Salvini”. “Let’s not say no, we will talk about it in the dedicated offices”, he specified. In the meantime, a new telephone contact took place which led to a further step forward in the project.
