His Ferrari F355 crashed into the guardrail on the Firenze Pisa Livorno at Navacchio, in the Pisano area. The car broke through the barrier and the man behind the wheel, Giulio Braghieri, 56, a Pisan businessman, died stuck between the metal sheets. The rescues were useless and the intervention of the firefighters only served to free the lifeless body. Braghieri’s Ferrari proceeded towards Florence and, according to the reconstruction of the rescuers, it first hit the central guardrail violently and then bounced off the side one, remaining stuck.
Braghieri was a well-known industrialist in the construction and mechanics sector. Giulio’s father, Enrico Braghieri who died a few years ago, in 2013 was the one who had given a big boost to the group and was also known for his commitment to volunteering.
