He was sleeping when two criminals entered the house, last night, on the first floor of the villa where he lives, in via Cavour 25, in Rivoli, in the Turin hinterland. The landlord, jeweler, 53, woke up and the robbers reacted by shooting. The man was shot in the leg by a gunshot. The robbers then tried to escape, one was stopped by the carabinieri of the Rivoli station. He’s about 50, he was undocumented. It is of Romanian origin. The second is wanted: patrols have searched the territory for a long time.
It happened shortly after 11pm. The robbers who forced an entrance to the villa to enter the house also distracted the dog, who lives in the house and did not give the alarm, a sign that probably the criminals had planned the shot. and they knew what obstacles they would have to face. They did not expect, however, that the landlord would notice the intruders in the house. The gunshot hit him in the leg but his condition is not serious. The man was rescued by the 118 health workers and transported by ambulance to the Rivoli hospital. The carabinieri – who are also acquiring images from the surveillance cameras in the area – have recovered part of the booty: a watch and money. The weapon with which the jeweler was wounded was also recovered.
