ROME – The road map of Italy towards white area is now traced. To say this are the data that have seen an important decline in infections in recent weeks – in yesterday’s bulletin Italy counted 2557 cases and 73 deaths – as well asnational Rt index (0.62). The Piedmont. Governor this week Alberto Cirio spoke of “a white area that has passed from a mirage to a concrete reality“. Also in this case, the data for our region are more than comforting with a decreasing Rt index and currently steady at 0.64 albeit slightly above that of the national average. By June 14 – if the data continues to be good – 13 regions and autonomous provinces will enter the white band. Among these also the Piedmont. But let’s see what the next steps will be
From 31 May Sardinia, Friuli Venezia Giulia e Molise they have officially left the yellow zone. On Monday 7 June it will be the turn of Abruzzo, Liguria, Umbria e Veneto. A further step towards all-white Italy will take place the following week, that of June 14th. This time it should touch a Lazio, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Puglia, autonomous province of Trento e Piedmont. This would lead to 12 regions and one autonomous province out of 20 in total to abandon the color yellow. To date, the most affected areas are those of Southern Italy, where the virus still circulates the most.
