Milan Street Art Tour: the Isola district

Milano – Among the itineraries of Neiad to the discovery of more airy places in Milan there is also a new one street art tour walk in district of the Island: yes, because even the coolest neighborhood in the city, with a popular and genuine soul, has been hiding i street art masterpieces, not far from the tall skyscrapers that populated the Porta Nuova area. Ozmo, Microbo and Mr Blob, Pao, Zibe or more young artists have entrusted their creations to the walls of the island, in an explosion of colors and creativity which is now increasingly characterizing many corners of Milan.

Milano – The subway underpass that connects the island to the modern skyscrapers of Piazza Gae Aulenti is, even in a literal sense, a real door which introduces to this face of the neighborhood: on the one hand the works, often poetic, of already well-known artists and on the other those of the creatives of the future, the students of the Boccioni Art School, who worked for the project outflow, with the aim of enlivening the spaces gray of the city. At the exit of the tunnel, what appears to be the hypermodern metropolis of the Porta Nuova skyscrapers dissolves intopopular soul of a neighborhood still on a human scale. A few steps and Hogre appears, then Pao, with his cartoon characters, the Virgin of Guadalupe and Arnold, the famous star of an American sit-com.

Milano – It is an unlikely dialogue that reveals the many souls, even contradictory ones, of street art, poised between transgression and sharing, where every corner of the wall can become a fragment of poetry or a space for reflection, as well as for expression and art. A triumph of color that explodes at one of the coolest clubs in the neighborhood, the Frida, whose courtyard whose interiors are entirely painted with the most varied subjects, up to that mysterious face that peeps out from among the ivy.

The guided tour takes place in compliance with the anti Covid-19 regulations in force and has a cost of 15 euro (reduced € 7.50 for children aged 7 to 14). There online booking it is mandatory.
